After completing a degree in Forest Engineering at Universitat de Lleida, he gradually became involved in the world of image and photography. Soon enough, he realised that what up until then had just been a childhood hobby had now become a profound passion.
In 2002 he went on to study artistic photography in Escola Municipal d’Art El Roser in Lleida for two years. Once the course was finished and after gaining some professional experience as a photography assistant and photojournalist at the Segre newspaper, Gerard moved to Barcelona in order to continue with his training in the photography field.
In 2008 he obtained his degree in Photography and Digital Creation at CITM-UPC in Terrassa, near Barcelona. During that time, he had been combining his educational activity with his professional work, carrying out an internship at the Digitalisation and Conservation Department at Institut Amatller of Hispanic Art, as well as working as a photojournalist for the Diari de Terrassa newspaper. As part of a collaboration agreement between Laboratoris EGM and his university, he started an internship at EGM which then evolved into a close working relationship with the company that last until 2016.
Nowadays, he applies his photography expertise to the world of CGI in his professional works as well as in the educational field at Grisart, a leading photography school in Barcelona.
